Overview
Lieberman Software Corporation provides privileged identity management and security management solutions for the multiplatform enterprise. The company delivers solutions that allow large organizations to reduce the cost and complexity of administering the IT infrastructure.
Lieberman Software’s reputation for innovation and dependability is founded on its ability to fill a distinct niche in the security management market. Its products increase control over the computing infrastructure, thereby improving manageability, productivity, and security for the entire organization.
The company realizes that managing an expanding array of users, accounts, groups, and other configuration settings is a complex endeavor in a dispersed multi-platform enterprise. The Lieberman Software strategy is to provide centralized management solutions that can administer critical IT tasks collectively across the servers, workstations, mainframes, databases, and network devices in the enterprise, subsequently reducing security vulnerabilities, minimizing system failures, and easing the burden of regulatory compliance.
With products that support a rich, heterogeneous IT environment, Lieberman Software provides IT professionals with real-time information and the agility to respond to security and management issues as they arise.
History
The company was founded in 1978 as Lieberman & Associates, a software consultancy. In response to customer requests for solutions to problems that were being neglected in the Windows market, the company began developing management tools to address the needs of IT administrators. Based on the enthusiastic response to these tools, the company released its first systems management product in 1994 and changed its name to Lieberman Software Corporation in 2004.
Since its inception, Lieberman Software has been a profitable, management owned firm with no dependence on venture capital. It has consistently released new products and product upgrades, maintaining its value and relevance to IT professionals. The company’s niche products, management ownership philosophy, and technical expertise are testaments to its success and continuing growth potential.
The company pioneered the privileged account password management space by releasing the first product to this market in 2001. Since then, Lieberman Software has regularly updated and expanded its privileged password solution set while growing its customer base in this vibrant and emerging market.

Products
Lieberman Software offers solutions that automate the time intensive systems management tasks often ignored due to cost and complexity. These multi-threaded, agentless products can simultaneously control thousands of systems and are utilized for privileged identity management, maintaining regulatory compliance, security threat assessment, and threat remediation.
Lieberman Software’s enterprise solutions are targeted at the CIOs, CISOs and IT directors who need to maintain strict oversight control of the IT infrastructure, reduce the threat of external and internal security breaches, and rapidly resolve the systems issues that arise on a daily basis.
Enterprise Random Password Manager™ - continuously discovers, updates, stores, and enables secure recovery of privileged account passwords in the cross-platform enterprise. It detects each location where privileged account credentials are used, including services, tasks, applications, and more. It then secures these credentials and propagates the changes everywhere they exist in the enterprise. By updating and tracking every privileged account password, organizations can maintain compliance with the control and auditing requirements of regulatory mandates, secure IT assets, reduce account lockouts, and increase IT productivity.
Random Password Manager™ - automatically randomizes local administrator and root account passwords on systems throughout the enterprise, and enables audited, remote recovery of passwords on demand. Password updates can be conducted for all managed systems collectively, according to schedules established by the administrator. Authorized users are granted only the appropriate level of temporary administrative privileges needed to safely accomplish systems maintenance tasks. The product ensures that each system maintains unique account credentials, preventing unrestricted peer-level access throughout the enterprise.
User Manager Pro Suite™ - lets users make a variety of crucial changes to thousands of Windows systems throughout the network simultaneously, all from one console. It can modify groups, users, passwords, registries, policies, audit settings, and rights en masse, and provides real-time, interactive reports for all system data it collects. The suite consists of User Manager Pro, Random Password Generator, Password Recovery Console, Web Reporting, and NTFS Permissions Reporting. Benefits of User Manager Pro Suite include a more efficiently managed IT infrastructure, minimized threat of security breaches, rapid remediation of system problems, and maintaining regulatory compliance standards.
Service Account Manager™ - remotely accesses, analyzes, and modifies Windows service properties on all managed systems throughout the enterprise. The product provides a consolidated view of every service running on every system in the network, granting administrators the ability to quickly update service credentials and run dynamic dependency analysis on multiple systems from one console, without resorting to tedious manual processes. Results are seen in increased availability, security, and performance on mission-critical Windows servers.
Account Reset Console™ - allows users to reset or unlock their own accounts in a secure, audited, and delegated manner. This web-based solution strengthens enterprise security by enabling organizations to enforce a strict and secure password reset policy, and solves one of the most common IT problems encountered by large organizations – users losing access to systems because of forgotten or expired passwords. Benefits include reducing an organization’s dependency on 7/24 help desk requirements, maintaining high end-user productivity levels, auditing the effectiveness of password management controls, and identifying and closing potential security breaches.
Task Scheduler Pro™ - enables administrators to add, remove, and edit scheduled tasks en masse, overcoming the limitations of the built-in Windows task scheduler. IT groups can quickly and efficiently administer such crucial operations as remotely installing service packs, deploying patches, updating antivirus software, and changing AT service account credentials. These functions can be managed on all systems across the enterprise in a single operation, allowing critical changes to be executed immediately.
Server-to-Server Password Synchronizer™ - helps large enterprises keep groups of common account passwords synchronized between any number of domains and servers that do not have trusts between them. When a user changes the password on one system, the new credentials are automatically replicated to all other appropriate systems.
